The scoop on printing @ Salmon Library

Posted on July 21, 2011 by admin

Is your printer not working at home or in your dorm? We have two black and white printers and one color printer available in the Information Arcade at the Salmon Library. Black and white printing costs $.10/page and color printing is now $.30/page.

To pay for prints, you MUST have your Charger Card! You pay for prints using your flex account. To get money into your flex account you can bring dollar bills (5,10, and 20 dollar bills are also accepted, but no change is available) and load them to your Charger Card at the library (there’s a transfer station near the copy machines on the first floor right around the corner from the circulation desk). Please note that we cannot accept cash at the Reference Desk or Circulation Desk for prints and we do not have change. The transfer station does not accept credit or debit cards.

If you would prefer to load money to your flex account with a check or credit card, you can go to the University Center, room 110 or 111 between the hours of 8:15 – 5:00 or call 256-824-2715 or 256-824-2720. If you pay in the Cashier’s office (UC room 213), you will need to go to room 110 or 111 with your receipt, so they can add the money to your flex account.

For more information on other ways to use the money in your flex account, please visit the University Center Website here.
