Bolivian author Edmundo Paz-Soldan will visit UAH early this semester. He will give a talk entitled “Between North and South” on Jan. 18 at 7:30 pm in Morton Hall 200 as part of the Global Studies Forum’s “Literature, Culture, and Global Contexts” series. Dr. Paz-Soldan is the author of six novels and two short story collections. His work has been translated into many languages, and he has received several prestigious awards. Dr. Paz-Soldan is also a UAH alumnus. He came here on a soccer scholarship and earned a B.A. in political science in 1991. During his time at UAH, Dr. Paz-Soldan was a circulation student assistant at the Library! He has gone on to complete additional advanced degrees and is currently an Associate Professor of Hispanic Literature at Cornell University.
The UAH Library currently has several of Dr. Paz Soldan’s books on Reserve. Please visit the Circulation desk to check them out on a 1-hour basis. These books will be moved to our regular circulating collection after his visit. Please stop by our display in the front lobby to learn more about this author and his works!
