Library Information Sessions

The Library will be offering several introductory information sessions during the month of September. These sessions will feature the Top Ten things you need to know about the Library. During each session, we will be drawing names to give away some great PRIZES, including gift certificates to local restaurants and UAH “flex account” cards with varying amounts of cash loaded on them. Sessions have been scheduled for the following dates and times:

Monday, 9/18 @ 11:00am
Friday, 9/22 @ 1:30pm

Fall Semester Library Hours

New Library Home Page

The Library debuted its new & improved home page on August 7, 2006. The new page features pop-up menus for improved access to library content, as well as several new design features. We are excited about our updated look and hope you will enjoy it.

Fall Frolic @ UAH Library

The Library’s 2nd Annual Fall Frolic will be held on Wed. Aug. 30 from 4-5pm. This event will feature free food, building tours, online demos, and more! Representatives from local banks will be on hand to provide information about their services. Information about UAH international organizations, Space Archives, the upcoming E-Info Global Symposium and more will also be provided. We encourage all faculty, staff, and students to kick off the fall semester by attending this exciting event!

UAH Library to Host E-Info Global Symposium

The 1st Annual E-Info Global Symposium: Information Delivery & E-Access in Academic Libraries, hosted by the UAH Library, will be held on Nov. 30 & Dec. 1, 2006. Science Direct China Collection – Free for 2006

Elsevier has now launched a major initiative to distribute Chinese scientific, technical and medical research findings via Science Direct. The Science Direct China Collection is a series of prestigious Chinese science, technology and medical journals never before disseminated outside of China. Free for review until the end of 2006, the ScienceDirect China Collection offers a unique insight into Chinese research. Click here to browse the available journals.
