FINDING images on the Web:
Images of products:
Locate manufacturer's home page on Web (advertisements usually include a picture of the product) by searching one of the following suggestions:
1. General BusinessFile ASAP for product or company information.
2. Business & Economy through Yahoo.com (available at www.yahoo.com on any computer with a browser).
3. Google Search (available at www.google.com). Google can locate product by name of product or company.
Images of people:
Locate biographical lists by using a search engine
SEARCH ENGINES: Use a search engine to find thumbnail images.
Altavista (www.altavista.com) Ditto.com ( | http://ditto.com/) Google http://www.google.com
Type search words in search box. Choose Images, Audio & Video.
Choose Find results on Images. Check "Pages must include Image"
PRINTING an image
Click on File.
Choose Print.
SAVING an image to disk:
Right click on image.
Choose Save Picture As. Left click.
Change File name to a:your name for image. (It is your disk, so
you can name the image file anything you would like!)
Click Save.
SAVING an image embedded in a PDF file (Acrobat):
Display the web page with the PDF link. (Do not click on PDF link to open file.)
Right click the mouse on the PDF link.
Choose Save Target As. Left click.
Type a:file-name-of-your-choice.
Click on Save.

Many websites organize images by category. Take a look at the following:

Finding Images Onlineis organized by subject. Alphabetically listed, the subject categories range from Aboriginal Cultures to Wildlife. Each category provides links to image collections.

Choose Images. Librarians' Index to the Internet is a directory of selected sites. "Images" provides links to image collections on many subjects.
