Come by Salmon Library to review books for the 2012 Alabama Textbook Adoption Program!  We are one of eight sites for the State of Alabama’s Textbook adoption period of public review.  Anyone may come by the library to review the sample textbooks, but the textbooks must remain here in the library, which are being kept in the north wing of the first floor.  Please check with the Reference Desk for further assistance.

Educators and the general public are encouraged to view textbooks for consideration. It is from this evaluation that the committees and the State Board of Education select titles to be included on the State Textbook Adoption list. The main criterion for selection is how well the textbook matches the needs of the Alabama Course of Study.  For information about the Alabama State Textbook program, visit the Alabama Department of Education site or contact Karen Benefield at karenb@alsde.edu.
